A free wedding website you make by describing your day
You describe the wedding in a chat and get one link with the date, a map to the venue, the running order, the dress code and where to stay. Guests answer yes or no, give a headcount and leave a note, with no account or payment step on their side.

What to put on a free wedding website
- The date, start time and when the ceremony begins
- The venue, with a map link and parking or transport notes
- A short programme of the day, from arrival to last song
- Dress code, with a line on what to avoid if it matters
- Where to stay, with the places you have agreed rates with
- A gift or no-gifts note, written in your own words
- An RSVP with yes or no, number of guests and up to six questions
The page has an RSVP form: guests say yes or no, how many are coming, and anything you ask (allergies, email, phone). You get an email for each reply and a guest list with a CSV export.
When to send it
- Now: Describe the wedding in chat and check the draft page before you share it
- Six to eight weeks before: Send the link; each reply reaches your inbox as it comes in
- Two weeks before: Look at the guest list totals and download the CSV for your venue or caterer
- The week before: Add a last note about parking or a change of start time by chat or by hand
Wording you can use
- โDear guests, we are getting married on Saturday 14 June at St Mary's, Little Hadley, and we would love you there.โ Use it
- โThe ceremony starts at 2 pm. Please arrive by 1:45 so we can begin on time.โ Use it
- โDress code: smart casual. Linen and light colours suit the garden, but please skip anything that needs heels on grass.โ Use it
- โWhere to stay: we have arranged rooms at The Plough and Harrow; mention Anna and Daniel when you book.โ Use it
- โPlease RSVP by 1 May using the link below. Tell us how many of you are coming and any dietary needs.โ Use it
- โGifts are not needed. If you would like to give something, a donation to the village hall is very welcome.โ Use it
- โParking is limited at the church, so please use the car park on Mill Lane and walk the last two minutes.โ Use it
Questions
- Is it really free to make a wedding website here?
- The page has no payment, ticketing or checkout step, so nothing on it asks a guest to pay to reply. Check the current terms of WordGPT before you rely on any plan details.
- Do my guests need to create an account to RSVP?
- No. They open the one link, answer yes or no, enter how many are coming and leave a note. They do not sign up for anything.
- What happens when someone replies?
- You get an email for each reply. The guest list page shows totals for yes, no and headcount, and you can download the list as a CSV.
- Can I ask questions beyond attendance?
- Yes, up to six extra questions, such as meal choice, dietary needs or whether guests need a lift from the station. Replies come back with the answers.
- Can I change the page after I share it?
- Yes. You edit it by chat or by hand, so you can fix a start time, add parking notes or update the programme. Tell guests about big changes directly.
