WhatsApp invitation for a birthday, one link for the whole group
Most birthday plans end up scattered across several WhatsApp groups, with the time in one message and the address buried further up the chat. A WhatsApp invitation made as a single page gives everyone the same date, map and programme, and a reply form that doesn't get lost under photos and memes. You post one link, and the replies come back to you as a guest list you can count.

What to put on a WhatsApp birthday invitation
- The date, start time and a map link to the venue
- A preview picture and title that show when the link is pasted into a group
- A short programme, such as drinks at 7, dinner at 8, cake after

Questions
- Do guests need a WhatsApp account or any sign-in to reply?
- No. Guests open the link in a browser and fill in the reply form without creating an account.
- What does the preview picture do?
- The page is built so that when you paste the link into a WhatsApp group, a preview picture and title from the invitation appear with it. Choose a picture you want the group to see first, since that is what they will notice.
- Are replies still sent to the group chat?
- No. Replies go to the page, not the chat. You get an email for each reply, and the guest list shows totals for yes and no answers and the number of guests.
- Can I change the date or the venue after I've posted the link?
- Yes. You can edit the page by hand or ask for changes in the chat. Tell people about any change in the group, because the page itself does not message them.
- Does the page work well on a phone?
- It is written to be read on a phone screen, with the date, map link and reply form close together so guests don't have to zoom or hunt for details.
