World capitals quiz

How well do you know the capital cities of the world?

7 questions · practice mode: missed questions come back until you get them

This is a real quiz: answer it the way a visitor would. Nothing is saved.

More to start from: all form, quiz and course templates. Nothing is published until you press Publish, and every answer lands in your account with charts and a CSV.

A pub quiz depends on its questions: rounds that are too hard empty the room, and vague answers start arguments at the bar. This page builds yours in chat, with rounds grouped by theme, short questions, answers you can check and hints for the tricky ones. The live sample above is a general world capitals quiz; the chat adapts the same format to your rounds and your crowd.

What you get

One question at a time on a phone

Turn on one question per screen so each question fits a phone and teams cannot scroll ahead to the next one. Multiple-choice and typed answers both work, and a hint can sit under any question for the rounds that need a nudge.

Quizzes that teach

Every question can have a hint and an explanation, and missed questions come back until they are right.

See who knows what

The results show the average score, which questions people miss most, the most common wrong answer and every play.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Play the sample above to see the hints, explanations and the practice round.

  2. Step 2

Press Use this template, or tell the chat a topic, or attach a PDF, Word file, book or YouTube link to build the questions from.

  3. Step 3

Edit any question by hand, publish, and share the link. Scores and weak spots appear in your account.

Who uses it

  • A landlord running a weekly quiz night

Keep one quiz and change a few rounds each week by asking the chat. Put the QR code on the table cards so teams open it on their own phones, then check the results page on Friday to see which rounds were too easy.

  • A club or charity running a fundraiser quiz

Set a response limit to match the number of teams you can seat, and get an email for each response so you know who has entered. Export the CSV afterwards to show the scores and total raised.

  • An organiser of a team trivia afternoon

Mix rounds by theme so people who do not know each other each have a round they can answer. Run the quiz in practice mode first with a colleague, which shows which questions are unclear before the real event.

Questions

Does the quiz have a countdown timer?

No. The quiz shows one question at a time, which keeps the pace up, but there is no built-in countdown. If you want a timed round, say how long each question should take and read the time out at the bar, or put a clock on the screen.

How do I deal with spelling arguments on typed answers?

Before the night, play the quiz in practice mode and see which typed answers get marked wrong. Then ask the chat to add the variants you accept, such as a country's short name, and check them once more.

Can I see every team's score after the quiz?

Yes. The results page shows the scores with charts, and you can download them as a CSV to read the totals and check close finishes. The page does not show a live leaderboard on the big screen, so you would read the top scores out or put up a summary slide.

Can I start from my own list of questions?

Yes. Attach your question list as a document and the assistant builds the rounds from it, keeping your answers and adding hints where you ask for them. Check every answer yourself before the night.

Should I ask teams for their names or emails?

Ask only for what you need, usually a team name and one contact email if you plan to announce results or prizes. Email for each response sends the entry to you, and you are responsible for storing and using anything people give you.
