A PDF keeps its ideas in pages, headings and tables, and text copied out of it often breaks mid-sentence, so the structure is hard to see at a glance. This tool reads your document and writes a nested mind map: a central topic, four to seven main branches, and two to four short sub-points under each, in the same language as the PDF.

What you get

Central topic first

The map starts from the document's own title or main subject, so you know what every branch belongs to.

Branches in document order

Main branches follow the order of the headings in your PDF, so sections 1, 2, 3 stay in sequence.

Names and figures as written

Names, amounts, percentages and dates are copied exactly from the source, not rounded or reworded.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Paste text copied from your PDF, or drop the PDF file into the box.

  2. Step 2

Read the preview: a central topic with main branches and indented sub-points under each.

  3. Step 3

Create a free account to get the full mind map, a drawn version you can edit, longer files, a different depth, and the same material as notes or flashcards.

Who uses it

  • An analyst reviewing a quarterly report

See the sections, key figures and next steps of a long report at a glance before a meeting.

  • A student with a textbook chapter PDF

Map how the topics in a chapter connect before you start revising them in detail.

  • A project manager with a contract or brief

Check how the obligations, dates and parties are grouped before sending the document to a team.

Questions

Does the mind map keep the order of the sections?

Yes. Branches follow the headings in the order they appear in your PDF. In the shipping review example, Summary comes before Delays, Costs and Next steps, as in the source.

Is my PDF stored after the preview?

No. The preview reads up to 5 pages of a PDF (2 MB) or about 6,000 characters of text, and the file is not kept. Accounts handle whole documents.

Can it read a scanned PDF?

A scanned PDF is only a picture of the text, so the preview cannot read it. Scanned files need a free account, which runs OCR to recover the text first.

Can the mind map contain mistakes?

Yes, results can contain mistakes, including misread figures or grouped branches. Check the map against the original PDF before you rely on it in a report, a decision or a study plan.
