The main findings of a long PDF report are often spread across many pages, mixed in with headings, tables and fine print. This page reads your PDF and lists its key points as a short numbered list, most important first, with the figures and dates each point depends on.

What you get

Most important first

Points are ranked by how much they matter to the document, and each one is a single sentence you can read in a few seconds.

Figures and dates stay attached

A point keeps the amount or date it depends on, such as £386,500 or 12 February 2025, written exactly as it appears in the PDF.

Only what the PDF says

The list uses the document's own wording and language, and adds nothing from outside it, so you can match each point back to its section.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Drop your PDF into the box or paste its text. Text copied from a PDF can break lines mid-sentence, and the tool reads through those breaks.

  2. Step 2

Read the preview: a numbered list of up to 8 key points, most important first, each with the figures and dates it relies on.

  3. Step 3

A free account adds longer files and scanned PDFs, a different number of points, editing and sharing the list, and follow-up questions in chat.

Who uses it

  • Someone skimming a long report before a meeting

You get the main findings of a 40-page annual report in one short list, so you know what to read closely before you walk in.

  • A board member or volunteer checking the year's numbers

Each point keeps its amounts and dates as written, so you can see the budget, reserves and deadlines without hunting through tables.

  • A reader with a long article or paper to get through

The list shows the order of the argument from its most important point down, which helps you decide which sections are worth reading in full.

Questions

How many key points will I get?

The preview gives a numbered list of up to 8 points, most important first, each as one sentence. A free account can change the number of points.

Are the names, figures and dates kept exactly as written?

Yes. Each point keeps the names, amounts and dates it depends on, in the form they appear in the PDF. Check the original before you quote a figure in a report or decision.

Does this work on scanned PDFs?

A scanned PDF is only an image of the text, so the preview cannot read it. Scanned files need a free account, which runs text recognition (OCR) first.

Is my PDF stored after I use the preview?

No. The preview reads the first part of the file, up to 5 pages or about 6,000 characters of text, and does not keep the file.

Can the key points contain mistakes?

Yes, the list is produced automatically and can misread a table, a heading or a line that was broken in copying. When a point matters, check it against the original PDF.
