A long Word report often buries the few things you need under headings, tables and clauses written for careful reading. This page pulls out the main points as a numbered list, most important first, and keeps the names, figures and dates each point depends on. The preview shows the start of the result, and a free account returns the full list.

What you get

Most important point first

Each point is one sentence, ranked by how much it matters, with the figure or date it depends on included.

Names and figures kept as written

Points reuse the document's own wording, so a £14,900 rent or a 27 June deadline stays exactly as the file states it.

Only what the document says

The list draws only on the text you give it, and it answers in the same language as the Word document.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Paste the text of your Word document into the box, or drop the .docx file onto it.

  2. Step 2

Read the numbered preview of up to eight key points, each one sentence.

  3. Step 3

A free account gives the full result for longer files, lets you choose a different number of points, edit and share the list, and ask follow-up questions in chat.

Who uses it

  • Team leads reading a long project report

Get the decisions, deadlines and budget lines from a multi-section report before a meeting, without reading every paragraph first.

  • Students working through a set document

Turn a long policy, article or chapter in Word into a short list of its main claims to check your own notes against.

  • Anyone passing a document on to others

Share a numbered list of the main points with colleagues or family instead of forwarding the full file to people who only need the outline.

Questions

Does the list follow the order of the sections in my document?

No. Points are ranked by importance, most important first, so they may not match the section order. The names, figures and dates in each point are kept exactly as your Word document writes them.

How many key points will I get?

The list has at most eight points, each one sentence. A free account lets you choose a different number of points.

Can I use this for a long Word file?

The preview reads about the first 6,000 characters of text. For longer files, a free account gives you the full result.

Can I rely on the points without checking them?

Results can contain mistakes. When a figure, date or name matters, check it against your original Word document before you act on it.
