Turn anything into anything: drop any file, pick what you want out of it.Try it →A receipt lists items, prices, tax and a total in a layout that reads well on paper but does not sort or sum well in a spreadsheet. Pasting it in usually leaves each item name and price tangled together. This page turns the main item table of your receipt into rows and columns you can open in a spreadsheet or import into another tool.
What you get
One row per purchased item
Each line on the receipt becomes its own row, with the item name and price in separate columns, instead of one block of text.
Values copied as printed
Prices, the shop name, the date and the total are copied as they appear, not recalculated or rounded, so the table matches your receipt.
Plain CSV layout
The table has one header row, up to 8 columns and plain values with no merged cells, so it is ready for a spreadsheet or a CSV import.
How it works
- Step 1
Drop a receipt photo or PDF into the box, or paste its text.
- Step 2
Check the preview table: each item should sit on its own row with its price beside it.
- Step 3
A free account gives every row of longer files, the CSV download, OCR for scanned receipts, batches of files, and table edits made by asking.
Who uses it
People checking a card statement
Compare each printed item price and the total against your bank or card entry, line by line, in one table.
Anyone tracking household spending
Pull the item lines out of a shop receipt so you can sort what you bought and what it cost in a spreadsheet.
People filing expense claims
Get the shop, date and amounts into rows you can copy into a claim form, with the totals kept as printed on the receipt.
Questions
Are the prices in the CSV exactly as printed?
The tool copies prices, the shop name, the date and the total as they appear on the receipt. It does not recalculate or round them. Results can still contain mistakes, so check the table against the original receipt whenever the amounts matter.
What columns will the table have?
The tool takes the receipt's main item table and fits it into up to 8 columns, such as item name, quantity, unit price and line amount, with the shop, date and total where they fit. You get one header row and plain values.
Can it read a photo of a receipt?
Pasted text and PDFs work in the preview. Photos and scanned receipts need OCR, which is included with a free account. Without an account, you can paste the printed text instead.
Why does the preview show only part of my receipt?
The preview reads up to about 6,000 characters of text, or the first 5 pages of a PDF up to 2 MB. Your file is not kept. A free account processes every row of longer files and gives you the CSV download.
