Extract data from a PDF invoice
Pull the invoice number, dates, supplier, line items and totals out of a PDF invoice into a spreadsheet row or table. Preview free, export with an account.
This preview shows the first 25 rows and does not keep your file.
Keying invoices into a ledger is the kind of work that goes wrong quietly: a transposed digit, a missed line, a total that no longer matches. This tool reads the invoice the way a clerk would, finds the header fields and every line item, and returns them as rows you can paste into your books or import.
What you get
Header and lines together
The invoice number, date and supplier are repeated on each line item so the rows stand on their own when you import them.
Any layout
Invoices from different suppliers look nothing alike. The fields are found by meaning, not by position.
Totals you can check
Quantities, unit prices and line totals are separate columns, so a formula can confirm the sum.
How it works
- Step 1
Drop an invoice or paste its text.
- Step 2

Questions
Which fields does it find?
Invoice number, dates, supplier, description, quantity, unit price, line total and currency by default. In your account you can choose other fields.
Can it read photos of paper invoices?
Photos and scans need OCR, which comes with a free account. The preview reads PDFs with selectable text.
Does it check the VAT?
It extracts the numbers as written. A check that totals and VAT add up is a good next step in your sheet.
Can I process many invoices at once?
Yes, in your account: upload a folder of invoices and get one table.
