Run a product-market fit survey

The four-question Sean Ellis test: how disappointed would users be without your product? One question per screen, results as charts.

How would you feel without us?

Four quick questions about your experience.

This is a real form: answer it the way a visitor would. Nothing is saved.

More to start from: all form, quiz and course templates. Nothing is published until you press Publish, and every answer lands in your account with charts and a CSV.

The product-market fit test asks users one question: how would you feel if you could no longer use this product? If more than 40 percent say very disappointed, you probably have fit. The sample asks that question and the three follow-ups that tell you why, who your best users are and what to change, one question per screen so it takes a minute on a phone.

What you get

The 40 percent rule, ready to read

The results chart shows the share of each answer, so the very-disappointed percentage is the first thing you see.

Logic and pages

Show a follow-up only when it applies, split a long form into pages, or show one question per screen.

Results you can read

A chart for every question, averages and NPS for scales, the order of a ranking, a table of every answer and a CSV.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Try the sample above, then press Use this template, or describe your own form to the chat.

  2. Step 2

Change any question by hand or ask the assistant ("add a question about price", "translate it to Spanish"), with a live preview.

  3. Step 3

Publish, share the link or QR code, and read the answers as they arrive. You get an email for each one.

Who uses it

  • SaaS teams

Send it to active users by email after a month of use.

  • Early-stage founders

Track the score every quarter to see whether changes help.

  • Community builders

Ask members what they would miss, to decide what to keep.

Questions

Who should I send it to?

People who have used the product at least twice in the last weeks. Asking people who never tried it gives noise.

What score is good?

The test's rule of thumb is 40 percent very disappointed. Below 40 means look at the answers to the follow-up questions.

Can I add my own questions?

Yes: keep the first question as it is and add questions in the editor or ask the assistant.
