A name idea voting form: collect suggestions, then let people pick the winner

Build a name idea voting form for a product, team or pet. Collect suggestions, then turn the shortlist into a vote and read the results.

Share your idea

Big or small, every idea is welcome. Ideas are reviewed and the best go to a vote.

This is a real form: answer it the way a visitor would. Nothing is saved.

Use this template Describe yours in chatOpen full screen

More to start from: all form, quiz and course templates. Nothing is published until you press Publish, and every answer lands in your account with charts and a CSV.

Naming decisions stall when ideas are scattered across chat threads and everyone has a favourite. Collecting every suggestion in one form and then voting on a shortlist gives the group a clear result instead of another week of debate. The live sample above is a general idea submission form; the chat adapts it to your naming project, from the questions to the vote afterwards.

What you get

A vote built from the submissions

Once submissions close, the chat can turn your strongest names into a choice or ranking question and publish it at a second link. You then read the ranked results with charts and download them as a CSV.

Logic and pages

Show a follow-up only when it applies, split a long form into pages, or show one question per screen.

Results you can read

A chart for every question, averages and NPS for scales, the order of a ranking, a table of every answer and a CSV.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Try the sample above, then press Use this template, or describe your own form to the chat.

  2. Step 2

Change any question by hand or ask the assistant ("add a question about price", "translate it to Spanish"), with a live preview.

  3. Step 3

Publish, share the link or QR code, and read the answers as they arrive. You get an email for each one.

Who uses it

  • Founders naming a product

Collect name ideas from co-founders and early users, then vote on five finalists before you check domains and app store listings yourself.

  • Team leads and club committees

Gather suggestions for a new team or group name by a set deadline, then run a ranking vote so the whole group chooses the order.

  • Families choosing a pet or baby name

Let everyone in the household submit names with a short reason, then rank the shortlist so the final pick reflects what the family actually prefers.

Questions

Can people submit names anonymously?

Yes. You decide whether to ask for a name, and you can make that question optional or leave it out entirely when the chat builds the form.

How do I deal with the same name being submitted several times?

The tool does not merge duplicates for you. Export the responses as a CSV, group the repeats, and build the vote from the cleaned shortlist. A response limit can also cap how many submissions you receive.

Does the form check whether a name is already trademarked or taken?

No. It can ask submitters to note any concerns, but checking trademarks, domains and app store names is your job outside this tool.

Can people rank names instead of picking just one?

Yes. A ranking question lets voters order the shortlist from favourite to least favourite, which is often more useful than a single pick when the top names are close.

How do voters get the form?

You publish the form at a link and can also share a QR code. The results page shows the answers with charts, and you can download everything as a CSV.
