Turn a bank statement into JSON with every date and amount kept as printed
Convert a PDF or scanned bank statement into JSON rows with dates, descriptions, money in and out, and balances. Preview it free. Empty fields stay empty.
This preview shows the first 25 rows and does not keep your file.

Turn anything into anything: drop any file, pick what you want out of it.Try it →A bank statement lists each transaction with its date, money out, money in and running balance, but the columns often break when a PDF is copied into a spreadsheet or script. This page reads the statement and returns one JSON record per transaction, with the opening balance, closing balance and account period alongside. Dates, amounts and balances are kept exactly as they are printed.
What you get
One record per transaction
Each row becomes a JSON object with the date, description, money out, money in and running balance as separate fields. A single record has no more than eight fields.
Figures copied as printed
Dates, amounts and balances are not reformatted or recalculated. A balance of 3,503.75 stays 3,503.75, so you can check it against the statement line by line.
Blanks stay blank
If the statement shows no money-in value for a row, that field is left empty rather than filled with zero. The opening balance, closing balance and account period are returned as their own fields.
How it works
- Step 1
Paste the statement text or drop the PDF, Word or text file into the box.
- Step 2
Check the table preview to see the rows and columns the converter found.
- Step 3
A free account adds the full JSON download, long and scanned files, batches of several files, and editing the structure by asking.

Someone tracking their spending
Turn a month of transactions into structured data so you can sort by date or category in your own tool.
A bookkeeper checking entries
Get each date, amount and balance in a list you can compare against the bank's printed statement before reconciling.
A developer testing a parser
Get a consistent JSON shape from a real statement layout to use as sample input for your own code.
Questions
What does the free preview show?
The preview reads up to 5 pages of a PDF (2 MB maximum) or about 6,000 characters of text, and shows the result as a table of rows and columns. The file is not kept after conversion.
Can it convert a scanned bank statement?
Scanned statements need text recognition (OCR), which is included with a free account. Without an account the preview works only on files that already contain selectable text.
What happens to a field the statement does not show?
It is left empty. For example, a debit row has no money-in value, so that field is empty instead of being set to 0. Balances are copied from the statement, not calculated from the rows.
Can I rely on the JSON without checking it?
Results can contain mistakes, especially with unusual layouts or poor scans. Check the output against the original statement when the figures matter, such as for tax, lending or reconciliation.
