Kids birthday invitation wording: 15 examples parents can copy
Parents often know the date and place but struggle with the lines that prevent problems: when to drop off, when to collect, what to do about nut allergies. These examples cover those points in plain sentences you can paste into a page. Adjust the names, times and theme, then keep the lines that answer what other parents will ask.
Sample kids birthday invitation wording pages
What to put on a kids birthday invitation wording
- Drop-off and pick-up times, written out plainly
- A line on allergies and what food will be served
- The theme and whether costumes are welcome
- Whether brothers and sisters are invited
- A rain plan, if the party is outdoors
- A map link to the park, hall or garden
- An RSVP date early enough to order food
- Your mobile number for late or urgent questions
The page has an RSVP form: guests say yes or no, how many are coming, and anything you ask (allergies, email, phone). You get an email for each reply and a guest list with a CSV export.
When to send it
- Four to six weeks before: Send the page so parents can plan the afternoon
- Two weeks before: Check RSVPs and follow up on any allergy notes that are unclear
- Three days before: Send a short reminder with the drop-off and pick-up times
- On the day: Keep your phone on for late arrivals and last questions

Questions
- How far ahead should I send a kids birthday invitation?
- Most parents need four to six weeks to plan a weekend afternoon, so send the page then. Set the reply date about two weeks before the party, which leaves time to order food and chase anyone who has not answered.
- Where should the allergy line go?
- Put it in the notes section, close to the RSVP form, so parents see it before they reply. Name the allergy and say what you will serve. Ask parents to reply with any food allergies their child has, and use the reply note to record them.
- Can I change the wording after I send the page?
- Yes. You can edit the page by hand or ask for changes in the chat. Guests opening the same link will see the updated text. If the time or place changes, send a short reminder so parents do not rely on the old details.
- What does a parent get when they reply?
- Each reply comes to your email, with yes or no, the number of children or guests, and any note or answers to up to six extra questions. The guest list shows totals, and you can download it as a CSV file.
- Do parents need an account to reply?
- No. Parents open the link from the invitation and reply on the page without signing up. That makes it easier for parents who are not on your contact list.
