WordGPT

Scan documents to PDF with your phone or computer

Take a photo of a paper document, or choose photos you already have. The page is found, straightened and cleaned up like in a scanner app, then saved as one PDF with the pages in the order you set. Stamps, logos and signatures stay exactly as they are. The scanning runs in your browser; to help us improve it, a private copy of your photos is sent unless you switch that off.

What you get

Finds and straightens the page

The page edges are detected and the photo is flattened, even when it was taken at an angle. Drag the corners if the guess is off.

Clean-up filters

Enhanced colour, grey or black and white, so shadows go and the paper looks white.

Runs on your device

The page is found and cleaned up in your browser. Its engines are downloaded only when you first use the scanner.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Take photos or choose them.

  2. Step 2

Check each page: adjust the corners, pick a filter, rotate, reorder.

  3. Step 3

Download the PDF, or continue in chat to read or edit the text.

  • Students and teachers

Turn notes and handouts into one tidy PDF.

  • Offices and schools

Scan stamped letters and forms and keep the stamps.

  • Anyone with paperwork

Receipts, contracts and ID copies in one file.

Questions

Are my photos uploaded?

Finding the page, straightening and the PDF happen in your browser. While "Help improve the scanner" is on (it is by default), your original photos and the page edges found are sent to us, stored privately and used only to improve page detection. Switch it off in the scanner and nothing is sent.

Why does it download something the first time?

The page-detection engine and its small AI models (about 18 MB together, 50 MB with curve flattening) are loaded only when you use the scanner, then kept by your browser.

Can I read or edit the text?

This tool makes the scanned PDF. To read the text or turn it into a Word file, continue in chat with the same pages.

How many pages can I scan?

Up to 30 pages at a time.
